What is Baby Connections role in early literacy?
- provides training and free literacy tool kits to parents/caregivers to
improve their knowledge of and engagement in early literacy skill
development - the toolkit may include
books, a downloadable code for a CD, manipulative and/or print materials

- parents/caregivers of infants 6-12 months
- universal access

How do we provide early literacy support for families/caregivers?
- in collaboration with trained community partners at various sites in the community
- early literacy information is available on the Baby Connections website
How do we provide early literacy support for service providers?
- Baby Connection training is offered throughout the community
- a Facilitator guidebook is provided with training that contains research,
activities and instructional plans pertaining to early literacy skill development - a Baby Connections toolkit is provided to each participating Community Partner
- information is available on-line on the Baby Connections website
- support is provided by the Baby Connections Coordinator
