How do we provide early literacy support for service providers?
- We are a public library providing programs/resources that help strengthen children's literacy skills
- Some of our services include a large children's collection, specialized emergent literacy programs, and programming brought to patrons from partnerships with other local organizations

- Families, caregivers, children and individuals of all ages

How do we provide early literacy support for families/caregivers?
- Collections for children birth to age 6 and caregivers including, books, magazines, eBooks, CDs and databases
- Toy Lending library at McCormick and dual language kits in variety of languages
- Children's programs including: Baby time, Time for Twos, Tale for Tots , Preschool Wiggles and Stories, Story time, Family Story times
- Programs for newcomer families through the Library Settlement Program, including dual–language story time, Around the World, and Preparing for Kindergarten
- Partnerships with other organizations to deliver programs and services (like partnering with Wilfrid Laurier University to deliver math literacy programming for babies and toddlers)
How do we provide early literacy support for service providers?
- Collections for children birth to age 6 and caregivers including, books, magazines, eBooks, CDs and database
- Book and Quilt Kits available to schools and libraries (Quilts made by the Waterloo County Quilters' Guild based on the accompanying picture book)
- Books to Grow program -volunteers visit in-home daycare providers to deliver library books and read stories
